Give Yourself Some Awesome Eyebrows

Permanent make-up for eyebrows of beautiful woman with thick brows in beauty salon. Closeup beautician doing tattooing eyebrow. Face close-up. This weirdest of years means we probably won’t be having the usual holiday party circuit to go to, which feels like everyone is on the naughty list when really it’s just this darn virus that deserves the lump of coal.

So, while you should still come see us at AesthetiSpa for Botox to get rid of those crow’s feet and the dreaded 11s (even if it’s just for your family Secret Santa party), maybe you should also give yourself a little something.

How about perfect eyebrows? That’s the gift you can give yourself when you come in and have our micropigmentation artist Kim Bunch perform microblading on your brows.

What is microblading?

Microblading is a form of semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing where pigment is implanted in the upper layers of the skin with a handheld microblade tool instead of a tattoo machine. This technique allows for natural hair-like strokes to be placed for partial or full enhancement of thinning brows.

How long will microblading take at AesthetiSpa?

Your initial visit with Kim will last around two hours. During this time Kim will work with you to shape and style your brows to your preference. Once the ideal shape and style are created with your input and guidance, she will present multiple pigment color options until one is found that best matches your existing hair color, skin tone, and personal preference. Then she’ll apply it with the microblade tool.

At the conclusion of your initial visit, we’ll schedule a follow-up visit for six weeks. In this second visit, Kim will do another application to ensure longevity of the pigment.

Is there downtime with microblading?

There isn’t any downtime, but you do have to restrict some of your activities: no swimming, sweating, tanning, or prolonged sun exposure for the first two weeks after your session. The brow area will be red, slightly swollen, and sore to the touch initially. You’ll need to avoid any harsh cleansers or the like while your brows are healing.

Initially, your eyebrow color will appear darker, and there will be some minor scabbing. It takes one to two weeks to heal overall and approximately four weeks for the color to completely settle in.

How long will my color last?

Microblading is not permanent. This is because, unlike tattoos, microblading doesn’t place the pigment as deeply in the skin. This makes the color look more natural, but it makes it semi-permanent. Most people enjoy their new full eyebrows for a year to a year and a half. At that point, another application will continue your results.
