What Aesthetics Services Does AesthetiSpa Offer?

What Are Chemical Peels?

Chemical peels are simply giving our skin’s exfoliation process a boost. In a chemical peel, a peeling agent is applied to your skin and left on a predetermined amount of time. The peeling agent breaks down some of the bonds of the skin, encouraging the skin to shed dead, old skin cells and to replace them with new, more vibrant skin cells. At AesthetiSpa, we provide light/superficial peels that use alpha-hydroxy acids (naturally occurring acids, such as lactic acid, glycolic acid, and others) as the peeling agents and medium peels that use trichloroacetic acid. Superficial peels don’t require any recovery and will only cause light flaking for a few days. Medium peels penetrate more deeply, so they will require a little downtime as you will have some crusting and redness.

What Is Dermaplaning?

Although shaving your face every day is tedious business, some women envy men being able to do this because it exfoliates the shaved areas every day. This removes hair (of course), dirt, oils, and some skin cells. Dermaplaning is similar. In dermaplaning, your AesthetiSpa aesthetician slides a sterile blade across your skin. The single edge blade is held at a 45-degree angle. Think of it as akin to an old barbershop razor. The blade removes dead skin cells, sun-damaged skin cells, dirt, oil, and those pesky peach fuzz (vellus) hairs.

What Is A HydraFacial MD?

The HydraFacial MD® treatment is a “hydradermabrasion” of sorts. It combines deep cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration, and antioxidant protection simultaneously in a patented four-step process that takes just 30 minutes. The four steps involved in these patented treatments are Vortex Exfoliation, Vortex Peel, Vortex Extraction, and Vortex Fusion. The treatment is delivered through a proprietary wand that combines a gentle rotating brush with suction pressure. Afterwards, a serum is applied that is customized depending upon your specific skin type. The treatment results in clearer, healthier skin without any discomfort, downtime, or recovery.

What Is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a very popular procedure that exfoliates the outermost layer of the epidermis. At AesthetiSpa we utilize the DiamondTome Skin Resurfacing System. This microdermabrasion system is crystal-free and uses diamonds to remove the superficial layer of the epidermis. With natural diamond chips embedded in the tip, the DiamondTome wand polishes the skin and at the same time provides suction to remove dirt, dead skin cells, and other impurities. Microdermabrasion improves sun damage, fine lines, age spots, acne, and superficial scarring. It is completely non-ablative, and it can be used on all skin colors and skin types.

What Is Microneedling?

Microneedling involves the creation of thousands of microscopic punctures across the treatment area to trigger the body’s wound-healing response. At AesthetiSpa, we use the SkinPen whose handpiece features a sterile, disposable cartridge that houses 14 microneedles. As the handpiece is moved across the skin, the 14 needles oscillate up and down to the designated penetration depth (up to 2.5 cm). The needles create thousands of microscopic punctures through the epidermis down into the skin’s second layer, the dermis. Despite the fact that the microscopic punctures fully heal in just a couple of hours, the body thinks it has been wounded. It responds with a healing mechanism where it first remodels the existing collagen in the treatment area, and then it begins the production of new collagen to “heal” the perceived wounds. This improves the skin from within, and the increased collagen production lasts for weeks.

What Is PERK Eyes And Lips?

PERK is an add-on treatment (or it can be standalone) to enhance your HydraFacial by focusing solely on the delicate skin of the eyes and the lips. PERK Eyes and Lips combines in-office exfoliation with take-home products. HydraFacial PERK uses patented roller-flex technology to loosen dirt, oil, and dead skin cells; gently cleanse and hydrate the delicate eye and lip areas; deliver antioxidants and nutrients; lightly plump the lips; and brighten and refresh the eyes. Following the exfoliation, the HydraFacial PERK system applies to replenish serum to the eye area and revitalizing serum to the lips.

What Is Celluma Light Therapy?

Celluma Light Therapy is the newest form of light therapy to improve your skin. Rather than laser or IPL, Celluma uses light emitting diode (LED) energy. The LED energy, also called red light therapy, is applied at specific wavelengths to the skin. The LED wavelengths penetrate deep into the skin’s dermis layer to specifically target cells at their source. The energy is absorbed by the skin cells and this stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. Celluma’s high-intensity LEDs also improve the cellular metabolism and accelerate the repair and replenishment of damaged skin cells. Celluma Light Therapy rejuvenates the skin, reduces acne breakouts, and helps manage chronic pain.
