Rejuvenate Your Skin with Laser Genesis

shutterstock 1461819455 At AesthetiSpa, we love your skin, and we want to help it look its best. That’s why we offer so many treatments that work to rejuvenate skin that has issues such as sun damage and areas of pigmentation. Since we’re heading into prime party season here in Mount Pleasant, Charleston, and our beautiful Carolina coastal areas, let’s spend November’s blogs getting your face ready for the scene with blogs on Laser Genesis and Botox.

What is Laser Genesis?

At AesthetiSpa, we like to think of our Laser Genesis treatments as laser facials. Laser Genesis uses non-ablative Nd:YAG laser energy to penetrate the epidermis and enter the dermis, where the energy encourages new production of collagen. We use Laser Genesis to improve fine lines, redness, rosacea, and acne scarring, among other skin issues. With all the sun we get here in coastal Carolina, we could all use a little help from Laser Genesis.

What skin issues can Laser Genesis improve?

Laser Genesis addresses a wide range of skin problems:

  •     Fine lines and wrinkles
  •     Sun damage
  •     Excessive redness
  •     Rosacea
  •     Uneven texture
  •     Large pores
  •     Acne scarring
  •     Age spots

How does Laser Genesis work?

The Laser Genesis handpiece delivers its light wavelength down onto the targeted skin. The wavelength penetrates the epidermis, the skin’s outer layer, without damaging it. The patient only feels a slight warming of the outer skin. The energy enters the dermis, the skin’s second layer, where it instantly converts to heat. When the body senses heat in the dermis layer, it assumes there has been a wound. It responds, predictably, with a “wound-healing response.” This involves remodeling existing collagen at the site, and more importantly, the initiation of the production of new collagen. Since collagen provides the structural framework for our skin, increased collagen firms the skin, erases wrinkles, improves texture, and increases the skin’s thickness. This occurs over the course of a few weeks after your Laser Genesis treatment.

Who would be a good candidate for Laser Genesis treatments?

Laser Genesis is completely noninvasive. It works well with all skin types and tones. We all have areas with fine lines, acne scars, uneven texture, large pores, and other imperfections. Laser Genesis is a great option for easy-to-take skin rejuvenation for anyone. There isn’t any downtime, although you may have some slight redness across the treatment areas for about an hour. That’s it.

OK, so Laser Genesis will start rejuvenating your skin with new collagen production just in time for your holiday get togethers. Let’s get started. Call us at 843-849-9925 to schedule your session.
