If you’re a regular to our AesthetiSpa website and to this blog, chances are you’re well versed in the products and procedures involved in the aesthetic industry. And if you know about dermal fillers, you’ve also surely heard of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in humans and other animals whose job is to hydrate and plump the skin. It does this by binding with water molecules. Many of the world’s most popular fillers such as Juvéderm and Restylane are hyaluronic acid based.
Now, for an advanced term — Belotero Balance. You have to be pretty savvy in the cosmetic world to know about this “other” hyaluronic acid filler. But we like Belotero Balance at AesthetiSpa to address fine lines and creases around your mouth and nose.
What is Belotero Balance?
Like Juvederm and Restylane, Belotero Balance binds with water molecules in the injection areas to plump and hydrate the skin. It is designed to integrate into your skin and to mold to your distinct facial contours. We feel that Belotero Balance provides natural-looking results and soft, even correction.
Where is Belotero Balance approved to work?
The FDA has approved Belotero Balance for the lower third of the face. Results generally last for around six months. Here are the areas we use it:
- Nasolabial folds — These nearly universal creases can be quite deep on some people, casting a shadow below them. While called “laugh lines,” they’re not really amusing!
- Chin wrinkles — Chin wrinkles can be quite deep, especially the horizontal lines that develop halfway between your mouth and the bottom of your chin.
- Vertical lip lines — These wrinkles mostly above the upper lip can really make you look older.
- Corner lines — These lines that surround the corners of your mouth can give off a sad or angry impression.
